"I’m winking atcha, darling!"

Hello Dear Friends,

Have you missed us? Of course you have, sillies! But don't fear - we have a new show coming up on August 16th. It will be our only show in August since we both have fun travels planned. Once September rolls around, we'll return to our normal bi-monthly squawking.

Special note - have you checked out our photo library lately? Mel uploaded oodles of pics from Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest. Sadly, she didn't catch any "Reversal of Fortunes" but the pics are good enough that you FEEL as though are you in midst of the madness.

Oh, guess what? The site that hosts our internet radio show, BlogTalkRadio, has expressed interest in making our show one of their coveted "Feature" shows! Can you believe it?! We've only had six shows! I guess that proves that when you're dripping in chemistry - as Mel and I clearly are - the sky is the limit!

I also have some new "favorites" I want to share with you - two bands and one TV show. I'm currently obsessed with The Ting Tings song "That's Not My Name!. It's catchy and it proves that you don't have to have an 18-piece band to make great big FUN music! I'm also really loving a song called "The Comeback" by the band Shout Out Louds. For some reason the lead singer reminds me a bit of Robert Smith of the Cure. Very good! And as far as TV goes, I'm SOOOOO behind in getting on the Little Britain bandwagon. My BF and I went to some new friends' house this Friday and they asked: "Have you ever seen Little Britain?" I said no, but I had always intended to check it out. They pulled up YouTube and showed me various clips of one of the characters named Bubbles. I nearly shit myself!!! I spent Saturday morning pouring over more and more clips and am now a fan. Watch my FAVORITE Bubbles clip below:

As I watched these clips and got to know the show, some sadness creaped up in me. The format is SOOOOOOO close to Tracy Ullman's show "State of the Union". Well, let me rephrase that: Tracy Ullman's show has pretty much the same format as Little Britain (they were first). So, I'm kind of disappointed in Tracy for not being creative enough to come up with her own format. Tracy is too brilliant for that kind of shit.

Oh, our last show was a real hoot, so click PLAY and give her a listen right here! While you're at it, tell some pals about us! We desire fame and fortune and can't do it on talent alone!

REMEMBER - NEXT SHOW IS ON AUGUST 16th, 9:00 AM PST/12:00 PM EST - ALL ABOUT MADONNA AND THE BOOK HER UNGRATEFUL BASTARD OF A BROTHER WROTE ABOUT HER!

The Dev and Mel Show - Our Latest Show...

Hey Dear Friends,

On Saturday, July 26th, Mel and I had another fantastic squawkfest. We covered many topics and had an all-out blast. If only we could get paid to do the show on a daily basis, how much happier our lives would be!

Sadly, we weren't able to be joined on the horn by RayaLight, because she was traveling, but she was with us in spirit. She performed Saturday night at the infamous Midnight Mass, hosted by the one, the only: Peaches Christ! The performance was followed by a screening of RuPaul's cult classic: Starrbooty, which also stars the most beautiful transsexual in the world, Candis Cayne (click here to watch Candis' best performance: GOD WARRIOR!)

We yacked about our love of pranking (a topic that is always fun to chat about). We made the observation that pranking white people and black people are two totally different experiences. White people hang up after 10 seconds and threaten to call the police. Black people, however, stay on the phone and make sure that everyone in the house has a turn to yell at you and ask you why you insist on "playing on their phone"! To sum it up, we'd much rather prank black people. White people = boring!

Mel spent some time at a yoga retreat in the Catskills Mountains, which is the same place where the movie Dirty Dancing was filmed! While she was out and about, zenning it up, I was spending time in Palm Springs at the Desert Paradise Resort. Gay menz - if you are going to Palm Springs and don't want to ruin your trip surrounded by women, please book a room at the Desert Paradise Resort. It is all-male, it is clothing-optional, but it is classy and tasteful. If you're looking for an all-out fuck-fest, go to the All World's Resort. It's just around the corner from Desert Paradise, so you can have your cake and fuck it, too.

Mel and I decided that since I'm the meanest cocksucker on the West Coast, I should hold my own Blow Job Competition, like those ladies in Greece did. To make it better, we think I should actually conduct my own workshops. We'll see if I can turn this dream into a reality. God didn't give me this mouth just to TALK, that's for sure!

Sad news, everyone: Estelle Getty from Golden Girls is dead. She was not my favorite Golden Girl - my favorites go in this order: Dorothy - Rose & Blanche (tied) - and then Sophia. Mel and I have a bet going for which Golden Girl is next to go. Mel says Betty White, I say Bea Arthur. Stay tuned! Did you know that NONE of the Golden Girls went to Estelle's funeral?! Rue had surgery – she has an excuse – but Bea and Betty live in LA and snubbed poor Estelle. What crust!

Good news: Shannon Doherty is back on TV! She's joining the cast of the NEW 90210, though her part kinda sucks (she's directing the high school's "musical" = LAME!) But she's back and that's all we care about.

Our next show is ALL ABOUT MADONNA!!!! Mel and I both read Christopher Ciccone's shit-talking fest of a book and want to discuss it, the women who is Madonna and everyone that's touched her rising star. It's our first "themed" show but trust us, it will not be our last!!!

Are your speakers turned on? If not, crank them up - our most recent show is playing right now!

Russian Fishing Cat - Living with HUMANS!

Mel: Go to this link and scroll down...there is a photo of the Fishing Cat mauling a chicken on the living room floor. This is real and weird..Apparently this lady in Russian thinks it's acceptable to keep this wild cat and feed it fowl inside. EWWW

Dev: This sure is FOWL! But I love it!

Mel: I like the pic with the grenade.

Dev: Is that what the cat is playing with??? I like the pic of the cat in the tub with the catfish!!! YIKES!

Mel: I can't believe that lady lets it bathe with her. It's a swanky cat but it could maul your face in a minute!

Dev: When if she was less-than-fresh...would the cat maul her vagina, thinking it to be a nice, tasty fish?

Mel: Snap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I bet the cat could if she didn't bath or trim her pubes for three days.

Dev: That woman is playing with fire and one day, she will get burned!

Mel: Russian Roulette!

Dev: HAHAHAHAHA!

Mel: She could pose for a postcard in the tub with the cat...it could say below "From Russian With Love"

Dev: Do you think she's bathing in distilled vodka?

Mel: Who doesn't in Russia!

ALMOST a Phish Reunion...

Hey Dear Friends,

I hate myself for not going to this festival, held in god-awful Michigan!

Phish members jam together at Michigan festival

ROTHBURY, Michigan (Billboard) - Phish fans, long hoping for a reunion of the defunct jam band, got their wish -- or at least a portion of it -- at the inaugural Rothbury Festival in Michigan on Sunday.

Three of the band's four members performed live together in two separate incarnations.

First, bassist Mike Gordon joined guitarist Trey Anastasio during the latter's solo acoustic set.

Noting that "Mike and I being two people who don't shy away from trying new things, Anastasio introduced a pair of fresh tunes -- "Backwards Down the Number Line" and "Alaska" -- and further teased prospects of a reunion by saying, "If we could just find a drummer and a keyboard player somewhere..." But, he added, "you gotta start with the songs, and you guys can be our test audience."

The biggest ovation came when Anastasio and Gordon finished the set with Phish's "Chalkdust Torture."

Anastasio, who plays on Gordon's upcoming album, "The Green Arrow," (due August 5), then returned the favor during the bassist's set with his own band.

Phish drummer Jon Fishman joined the ensemble for the Beatles' "She Said, She Said," sending the field into a state of dancing delirium.

All four Phish members, including keyboardist Page McConnell, have hinted at the possibility of a reunion in recent comments, but no firm details have been revealed.

The Phish follies were the unquestioned highlight on Rothbury's closing day. Headliners at the four-day event, which took place about 200 miles west of Detroit, included the Dave Matthews Band, Widespread Panic, John Mayer (with girlfriend Jennifer Aniston in tow), and 311.

Michigan State Police listed the crowd, mostly comprised of campers, at about 35,000, with 18 reported arrests as of Sunday evening.

----

Anyone who knows me knows that I've been waiting and waiting for this day!!! I know they'll get back together...let's hope for a New Year's Eve performance!

The Funny Thing About Art...

Hello Dear Friends,

The thing I don't get about art is that is doesn't matter how ugly something is, if it's "presented" in the right way (at a hip gallery, for instance), it's something to behold...but if the same thing was sitting at, let's say, a Salvation Army, it would be regarded as an ugly chotchky. See these pieces of "art" for instance that were featured at SOFA. Is this a fancy-schmancy gallery or a damn county fair?!

We Are OFFICIALLY Back and Better than EVER!

Hello Friends of the Dev and Mel Show!!!

We are back and better than ever! After almost a year on hiatus, Mel and I have stormed the airwaves once again. We had two new shows - the most current being this previous Saturday, the 28th. We talked about SOOO much! Here are some topics:

RuPaul's new reality show (VOTE FOR RAYA LIGHT!)

SarahJessicaParkerLooksLikeaHorse.com

Nathan's Annual Hot Dog Eating Contest

Mel's Meow Mix TV Show Audition

Wacky News: CANNIBALS GALORE!

...and a lot more!

Listen to that show now - turn up your speakers because it's playing as you read this!!!!

..

Our next show will be next Saturday, July 12th at 9:00 a.m. PST/12:00 p.m. EST. We may swing a SPECIAL GUEST, but either way, tune in live or come back here to listen to the achieve. Show your love, tell your friends and get ready for another wild romp!
